Nellie Muthoni Wainaina is the Founder and Managing Partner of Muthoni Wainaina & Company Advocates, a Nairobi-based law firm providing legal, pension, human resource and company secretarial services.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Nairobi and is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and the Institute of Human Resource Management. She is also a member of the Institute of Professional Mediators and Arbitrators (Kenya) and an accredited arbitrator. In addition, she is a qualified Company Secretary.

Nellie’s practice encompasses pension law, civil and commercial litigation, insurance, employment and labour law, medical law, legal research and opinions, alternative dispute resolution, succession law and general legal practice.

Her professional journey includes experience across the legal, insurance and financial-services sectors before establishing her own practice. In a LinkedIn post, she described leaving formal employment to pursue her goal of establishing her own law firm. She subsequently announced the firm’s growth and move to its Ojijo Plaza offices in Nairobi.
